Jonathan Jordan born 1806 was an elder brother to my G.G.Grandfather Robert b.1817. My records show Jonathan married Hannah Bishop at Long Compton on 17/11/1829.He was buried 16/12/1886and she was buried on 29/10/1885. To my knowledge they had 7 children, Sarah, Thomas, John, William, Harriet, Albert and Elizabeth. My father Alfred Jordan b.1911 was the last Jordan to live in the village, he died in 1988. My direct line stayed in the village from Thomas 1639.

I believe my 5x great grandmother MARY ELIZABETH JORDEN born c1767 is from Little Compton too. She died in Chadlington but I know nothing else about her family at the moment.
