Church Dates

Church Meetings:

There has been a little confusion over the two meetings this evening (April 5th) and next Tuesday (April 12th). Both are at 7.30 in Little Compton Church.

The meeting this evening is Little Compton Annual Village Church Meeting at which we shall be nominating churchwardens and electing the Village Church Council, and receiving the churchwarden’s report and the treasurer’s report. it will also be an opportunity to learn more about the church appeal.

The meeting next week is the Annual Parish Church Meeting for the whole parish at which we shall elect the nominated wardens for all five villages and receive the accounts for the whole parish.

Holy Week Services:

On Palm Sunday there will be a service in Chastleton at 9.00, Cafe Church in Salford at 10.00 and Little Rollright at 11.00.

On Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday in Holy Week (April 18-20) there will be a short service of Compline (about 15 minutes) at 6.00 pm. This will be in Salford on Monday, Chastleton on Tuesday and Little Compton on Wednesday.

On Maundy Thursday there will be a Benefice Communion at St Mary’s, Chipping Norton at 7.30 pm.

On Good Friday there will be a service at Salford at 12.00 noon.

On Easter Day there will be a Family Communion at Salford at 9.30.
and a Family Communion and Baptism at Little Compton at 11.00.
