Christmas Fair

The Fair will take place on Saturday 10th December in St Denys’ Church at 3:00pm. There will be lots of Christmas stalls, from local produce to teas and mulled wine.

The workshop theme this year is a “Christmas Table Decoration” led by Rosemary Williams, who will be giving an inspiring demonstration followed by an opportunity to make your own for Christmas. The workshop will start earlier at 2:00pm. Early booking is advised with Jenny Rudge on 674405.

Little Compton Garden Party

On Sunday 21st August, between 2pm-5pm, Sir Alec Reed will open the gates of The Manor, Little Compton, for members of the public to see his award-winning gardens. This is only the second time in 1000 years that these secretive gardens have been accessible to the general public.

Tickets are £5, with all proceeds from the event going to charities of each ticket holder’s choice. You can buy tickets on the door, or they can be purchased online at www.thebiggive.org.uk/events/garden_give

It will be a wonderful chance to get together with friends in a peaceful and beautiful environment, and to support your local charities too. Sir Alec Reed and The Big Give hope to see you there.

Please note that the services this Sunday (May 1st) are:

9.30 Salford Family Communion

11.00 Cornwell Parish Communion (Not Chastleton as advertised).

Cafe Church is now only once a month – this will be on May 8th at 10.30 in Salford

Church Do come if you can. We shall be focussing on the work of Christian Aid.

At the Annual Parish Church Meeting we elected the Churchwardens for the five

villages but were not able to receive the Treasurer’s Report, so there will be

another (brief!) Annual Meeting on May 10th at 7.30 pm in Little Compton Church

for this purpose. Please join us if you can.

Annual Plant & Produce Sale

The annual plant and produce sale will be on Sunday 8th May at 2pm in the Churchyard.

There will be a hanging basket workshop, where you will be taught to create your own basket, plants, veg, cakes teas, preserves etc for sale

All proceeds will go to the St Denys’ Church Appeal.
