This is only the second time in 1000 years that these secretive gardens have been accessible to the general public.

This is only the second time in 1000 years that these secretive gardens have been accessible to the general public.

Tickets are £5, with all proceeds from the event going to charities of each ticket holder’s choice. You can buy tickets on the door, or they can be purchased online at www.thebiggive.org.uk/events/garden_give

It will be a wonderful chance to get together with friends in a peaceful and beautiful environment, and to support your local charities too. Sir Alec Reed and The Big Give hope to see you there.

Everything in the box was incinerated and a passer-by saw a beaten-up old Audi leaving the scene. Last night, a resident at 6, Brewery Row had the back windscreen of her Golf smashed in. These may be unconnected incidents but in a village where vandalism is rare, it seems a curious coincidence.
Vigilance is advised.
