Are there any Jordans left in Little Compton? My great grandfather, William Jordan, left the village in the late 19th century to work on the railway in Birmingham. He came from a large family of agricultural labourers whom I can trace back to Jonathon Jordan who was born in the village in 1806. I know there are plenty of Jordans in the churchyard but would love to know if any are still living in the area and could tell me anything about the family. August 23rd, 2010 |
